General information for participants at the virtual Paris 2020 fair

VIRTUAL PARIS INTERNATIONAL MAP, ATLAS, GLOBES AND INSTRUMENT FAIR


Due to COVID-19 the traditional in-person fair at Hotel Ambassador has been canceled until 2021.

However, with the advancement and widespread adoption of video conference technology, we are happy to bring the 19th Paris Map, Globe & Instruments Fair to you virtually.

Through The Virtual Platform by Collectible Events, Dealers and Virtual Attendees Will Be Able To…

    - Browse and purchase your maps, globes, prints or intruments from the comfort and safety of their home or office.

    - If you wish you can connect with visitors via Zoom Video who can ask questions about your inventory and collecting in general.

    - Sit in on live presentations by leading map experts from around the world.


Dealer Setup : December 7 - 10th. 

Fair is open to the public : December 11 - 15th. 


WHY VIRTUAL

Governmental policy measures taken against the spread and impact of the coronavirus makes it impossible to organise a successful fair in 2020.. While the idea of a virtual fair is nothing new, the increased use of web  communication technology along with the global awareness and need for social distancing presents demand for a new form of personable interaction among nearly all communities.

We believe this 2020 Paris virtual fair will be a good, cost effective  alternative way to  stay in contact with your Paris fair visitors, make new contacts and sell your maps from home.


A Focus on Video Communications:

The global pandemic has had a unique impact on people throughout the world in the form of a general understanding and experience with video communications. Beside listing your items in our virtual map fair catalog, all dealers will receive links to one or more existing Zoom chat rooms that virtual attendees can enter and exit anytime it is made open by the dealer.

Beside the listing of; 10, 20, 30, 40 items in the fair catalog, depending on booth type, and a  link to your website.

o  Dealers can utilize our video technology to be live and even add details regarding what items they will present at various times throughout the fair.

o  During this time or any other time when a dealer is live, virtual attendees can post comments and/or questions that can be answered in real time by the dealer.

o Since video conferencing is a two-way communication system, attendees will have the opportunity to show dealers material that they own and ask questions or potentially sell directly to the dealers. This is one of the benefits of the virtual fair that is difficult to replicate in many traditional fairs due to security concerns.


Costs

100$ for a Standard exhibitor with 10 catalog entrees, or

200$ for Premium booth with 20 catalog entrees or

300$ Ultra Premium booth, with 30 catalog entrees or

400$ Marquee booth, with 40 catalog entrees, among several exteded futures.

and remember ; currently we have agreed with Collectable Events that if you participate in the Paris fair you will be able to participate in the  virtual  San Francisco Map & Print Fair in October 21 - 25 for FREE

Standard Exhibitor: It will feature the primary technological benefits of the landing and 10 product pages.

The company landing page will feature the following...

• Up to 10 product listings

• One video conference link

• Links to website or eBay page, and social media outlet



Premium Exhibitor: . It will feature the primary technological benefits of the landing and 20 product pages.

The access to the Dealer Wholesale Buy and Trade page where you can post, purchase, or trade material with other dealers.

The company landing page will feature the following...

• Up to 20 product listings

• One video conference link

• Active links to website, eBay page, and social media outlets


Ultra-Premium Exhibitor:  It will feature the primary technological benefits of the landing and 30 product pages.

o Featured content will be shared through social media outlets all year as promotional material.

o Access to Public Market Page where dealers can contact attendees that are selling their items / collection.

o Access to the Dealer Wholesale Buy and Trade Page where you can post, purchase, or trade material with other dealers.

o An Ultra-Premium listing will include the following a Logo, and business description throughout the fair category pages when applicable.

o Company landing page will feature the following...

• Up to 30 product listings

• Up to two video conference links

▪ Ideal for companies with two departments, figureheads, or an assistant.

• Active links to website, eBay page, and social media outlets



Marquee Exhibitor: This level of membership will be limited to 20 businesses / fair. It will feature all the technological benefits of the landing and 40 product pages..

It will be the only plan that allows for visible featured items and a linked business listing on the homepage throughout the duration of the year when the virtual fair is not active. The marketing advantages of a Marquee booth is most effective when participating in the virtual fair year-round.

o Listed as a featured dealer on the homepage when fairs are not active. This listing will include links to company website and social media outlets.

o Featured content will be visible on fair homepage when not active and shared through social media outlets throughout the year as promotional material.

o A direct email and active communication with our marketing department for promotional material as well as shared content through our social media outlets. This would include new listings to your website and important announcements such as the release of a new catalog.

o Access to Public Market Page where dealers can contact attendees that are selling their items / collection.

o Access to the Dealer Wholesale Buy and Trade Page where you can post, purchase, or trade description on the homepage and throughout the fair category pages when applicable.

o Company landing page will feature the following...

• Up to 40 product listings

• Up to three video conference links

Sammy Berk will be hosting Zoom meetings next week to present the virtual fair website and answer any questions. The meetings will include the web developer, so anyone with detailed technical questions should try to make the later meetings.
